CHRISTOPHER NINNESS and ERIC KIMELTON, two Los Angeles filmmakers, each with over a decade of experience, embarked on the documentary project “Not Just A Goof” because of the deep impact it had on their lives. They both grew up with the absence of fathers during pivotal moments in their childhoods, and found themselves watching the 90’s cult classic, “A Goofy Movie” on repeat. It wasn’t until they embarked on the journey to showcase the making of this film that they discovered the universal power of art and that a movie about a character as silly as Goofy could resonate with audiences of all cultures and generations. Through their experience of making this film, Chris and Eric are driven to show how the transformative force of art transcends boundaries and speaks to the human experience, making “Not Just A Goof” a heartfelt testament to the profound impact of creativity on our lives.
